This type of Iranian saffron is graded as the 4th grade and the overall color of this type of saffron is between 120 to 150 units. The price of this type of saffron is the lowest.
  • Sargol Saffron: Sargol saffron is made from the beginning of the stigma. This type of saffron has high coloring power and pure taste and aroma. The farmers cut the top red part of the stigma, thus, it is called Sargol saffron. Therefore, this type of saffron is all-red. The overall color of this type of saffron is between 210 to 260 units.
  • Super Negin Saffron: Negin saffron has only red parts of the saffron stigma and no white or yellow part is observed in it. It is said that the larger the stem and stigma of the saffron, and the less broken stigmas, the higher is the price value of the saffron.
  • Konj or White saffron: Saffron has two parts – Sargol and the root. The white part attached to the end of the sargol is called saffron root or white saffron. The color of these strands is light yellowish-white. These roots of saffron are called Konj saffron.
