✓ Moving further, pick your smartphone. Fetch the Linksys app on it if you don’t already have one. Make sure your device is operating on the Velop’s wifi network.

 

✓ It’s time to launch the app and follow the directions as displayed on the app’s screen. Within less than 10 minutes the Linksys Velop Pro 7 setup or Linksys Velop MX4200 setup will complete successfully.

 

Installation Guide For Linksys Velop MX4200 Using Web Browser 

 

The other alternative setup method for both the Velop’s requires the use of a web browser.

  • Connect the modem to the internet port of the parent node. Use ethernet wire for the same.
  • Secondly, use the power adapter for turning on the MX4200. Wait until you see the solid purple light. As you see it move to the third step.
  • Pick your laptop, connect it to the MX4200’s wifi network. Grab the wireless details from the user manual. Or it’s better to connect using Ethernet cable.
  • As you connect, open a web browser. Type in http://192.168.1.1. Hit enter key.
  • Further tap on the mobile picture. Setting the router for the first time? Create a password.
  • As you create the password, you login into the dashboard. Now click on the CA tab, thereafter on the Connectivity tab and on the CA Router tab.
  • Moving further fill up the information and hit the Setup Node option. Lastly click on Ok or Apply.
